Prime Minister Urges Halt to Iranian Aggression in Call with UK Foreign Secretary


Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE the UK Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper. During the call, the two officials discussed the ongoing military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions on both regional and international security and stability. They also explored ways to resolve these disputes through peaceful means.



According to Qatar News Agency, HE Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need to stop the unjustified Iranian attacks on Qatar and other countries in the region. He warned about the consequences of irresponsible targeting of vital infrastructure, particularly those related to water, food, and energy facilities.



His Excellency further highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination and intensifying joint efforts. He called for a return to the negotiating table and urged prioritizing reason and wisdom to ensure global energy security, freedom of navigation, and environmental safety. The Prime Minister underscored the need to preserve regional stability amidst escalating tensions.
