Doha:Chief Executive Officer Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari announced Qatar's ambitious bid to host the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games, emphasizing the country's commitment to delivering an exceptional event that reflects its standing on the global sporting stage.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Kuwari spoke during a panel discussion at Bayt Qatar in Nagoya, highlighting Doha's confidence and the comprehensive vision behind the bid. The goal is to provide a distinctive Olympic experience with a sustainable legacy for Qatar, the region, and the international Olympic movement.
Al Kuwari cited Qatar's successful track record of hosting major events, including the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as a foundation for the bid. She emphasized the country's advanced infrastructure, world-class facilities, and accumulated expertise as key strengths. The bid aims to showcase Qatar's ability to host complex international events and present an authentic image of the nation and the Arab region.
