Qatar and World Bank Discuss Collaboration on Transport and Infrastructure Projects

Doha: Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport Affairs at the Ministry of Transport Eng. Abdullah bin Saif Al Sulaiti met with a World Bank delegation led by Regional Practice Director for Infrastructure, Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan Almud Weitz. The meeting focused on exploring potential cooperation between Qatar and the World Bank in enhancing the transport sector, with a particular emphasis on infrastructure, public transport projects, freight logistics corridors, and public-private partnerships for project financing.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ministry of Transport officials participated in a World Bank workshop held at the Ministry's headquarters. The workshop aimed to discuss potential areas of cooperation and explore opportunities to leverage the World Bank's expertise in supporting and developing Qatar's transport sector.
