Qatar Chamber and Finland Discuss Private Sector Cooperation

Doha:Opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the Qatari and Finnish private sectors were explored during a meeting between Qatar Chamber and a Finnish business delegation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was held between HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani and HE Under-Secretary of State for International Trade at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland Jarno Syrjala. They discussed potential collaboration in sectors such as investment, trade, manufacturing, security technology, and artificial intelligence.

Sheikh Khalifa expressed the growing interest of Qatari businesspeople and investors in exploring opportunities in Finland. He also pointed out the presence of Finnish companies in Qatar, particularly in technology, aviation, digitalization, and education. He urged both countries' business communities to strengthen communication and pursue partnerships in various fields, including technology, innovation, advanced industries, clean energy, healthcare, and more.

HE Syrjala commended Qatar's National Vision 2030, highlighting its goal of fostering a diversified, knowledge-based economy. He noted the alignment of this vision with Finland's strengths in technology and innovation. He emphasized the potential for practical solutions and partnerships that leverage Qatar's development goals and Finnish expertise.

The Finnish Deputy Minister identified sectors like digitalization, energy, education, and smart infrastructure as promising areas for cooperation. Syrjala also emphasized Finland's commitment to reliability and long-term partnerships, expressing optimism that the meeting would enhance ties and create new business opportunities between the two nations.
