Qatar Charity Partners with Bosnian Ministry to Support Refugees

Sarajevo: Qatar Charity (QC) has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees in Bosnia and Herzegovina to implement joint development projects aimed at supporting returnees and improving their living conditions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by the Director of Qatar Charity's Bosnia and Herzegovina Branch, Mohammed Washan, and the Federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees, Nerin Dizdar. The signing ceremony was attended by the General Supervisor of Qatar Charity's Bosnia and Herzegovina Branch, Hassan Mohd Al Naemi.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed Qatar Charity's ongoing activities in the country and discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation in implementing sustainable development projects that benefit local communities. The agreement aligns with Qatar Charity's vision to expand its humanitarian and development work by addressing real needs, especially by supporting returnees and promoting economic empowerment to achieve stability and sustainable return.

Mohammed Washan emphasized the importance of partnerships with government entities in improving the efficiency of project delivery and ensuring assistance reaches those most in need. Hassan Mohd Al Naemi highlighted the significance of the partnership in expanding Qatar Charity's work, reaffirming the organization's commitment to effective implementation and maximizing impact.

Minister Nerin Dizdar expressed appreciation for Qatar's continuous support since 1994, noting that the memorandum reflects a shared commitment to improving the conditions of returnees through projects in infrastructure, education, and economic empowerment. Qatar Charity has been active in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1994, implementing a range of projects that have supported thousands of beneficiaries, particularly in the post-war period.
