Doha: The State of Qatar has condemned the Israeli attack on a Lebanese army patrol on the Khardali-Nabatieh road, which resulted in the death of two officers and a soldier. Qatar has labeled the assault as a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Lebanon, as well as a clear breach of international law.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Saturday urging the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by compelling Israeli occupation authorities to halt their repeated attacks on Lebanon. The statement called for respect towards international conventions and laws, and emphasized the need for the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's firm stance in support of the Republic of Lebanon, emphasizing its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Qatar also expressed its condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Lebanon.
