Qatar Engages in International Forum on Women’s Role in the Third Millennium

Moscow: The State of Qatar actively participated in the 4th International Forum on "Women in the Third Millennium," held in Moscow, Russia. The event saw the presence of a Qatari delegation led by HE Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, Sheikha Shaikha bint Jassim Al-Thani.

According to Qatar News Agency, Sheikha Shaikha bint Jassim Al-Thani took part in key sessions titled "The Women's Movement in a New Geopolitical Reality: The Structure of a Sustainable Future" and "Diplomacy of Opportunities: Women's Communities as a Driver of International Cooperation." These sessions focused on the evolving role of women in geopolitics and their potential to foster international collaboration.

On the sidelines of the forum, Sheikha Shaikha bint Jassim Al-Thani met with Alvia Amirova, President of the International Women's Federation. Their discussions centered on enhancing cooperation between Qatar and Russia in the areas of women and children, as well as sharing expertise in these fields.

Additionally, Qatar's Family Empowerment Department took part in the "Made by Women" exhibition, which showcased handicrafts and souvenirs created by Qatari productive families. This initiative aimed to highlight and market the products of Qatari families on an international platform, enhancing their visibility and economic opportunities at global events and exhibitions.
