Tokyo: The State of Qatar participated in the Geoeconomics Summit 2026, held in the Japanese capital, with the involvement of numerous international officials and experts specializing in international economy and geoeconomics.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar was represented by Assistant Undersecretary for Commercial Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Saleh Abdullah Al Mana. He took part in a panel discussion titled "Asia and the Global Order: Navigating the New Era of Energy and Supply Chains." The session delved into the substantial transformations within the global economy, the future trajectory of supply chains, opportunities for enhancing trade and investment cooperation among nations, and the significance of building sustainable economic partnerships to support growth and prosperity.
During his participation, Al Mana emphasized the importance of reinforcing long-term economic and trade partnerships, enhancing the business and investment environment, and expanding international cooperation to contribute to sustainable economic growth. He highlighted Qatar's commitment to strengthening economic and trade ties with international partners and supporting initiatives that aim to develop trade, investment, and supply chains, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The summit featured participation from a variety of international figures and experts in economics and international trade. Its sessions addressed various issues related to geoeconomics and the rapid changes occurring in the global economy.
