Brussels: The State of Qatar participated in the 2025 Palestine Donor Group meeting, which took place in Brussels under the leadership of Stefano Sannino, Director-General for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf at the European Commission.
According to Qatar News Agency, the high-level gathering was attended by significant international partners and donors to reaffirm their collective support for the Palestinian people. The meeting aimed to enhance coordination on development and humanitarian efforts while discussing strategies to address the pressing political, economic, and social needs in the region.
Qatar was represented by Abdulla Ahmed Al Fehani, Deputy Director General of the Risk and Compliance Sector at the Qatar Fund for Development. Al Fehani emphasized the international community’s firm commitment to humanitarian relief, reconstruction, and long-term stability in Palestine. He praised the European initiative for its timely intervention in addressing humanitarian suffering in the occupied Palestinian territories and for bolstering the resilience of the Palestinian people and their institutions.
During the meeting, Al Fehani also highlighted Qatar’s ongoing initiatives that support essential services, infrastructure projects, and socioeconomic resilience. He stressed the importance of continued international engagement at this crucial juncture.
