New York: The State of Qatar participated in the 35th Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, held in New York from June 23 to 27.
According to Qatar News Agency, Assistant Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Convention on the Law of the Sea, Omar Ali Al Ali, delivered Qatar's statement during the discussion of the 2024 annual report of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. He affirmed Qatar's support for the Tribunal's role in resolving disputes by peaceful means, in accordance with the rights and obligations outlined in the Convention.
