Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, along with HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, sent congratulatory cables to HM King Letsie III of the Kingdom of Lesotho on the anniversary of Lesotho's Independence Day. Additionally, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani extended his congratulations to HE Prime Minister of Lesotho Samuel Matekane on the same occasion.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres expressed gratitude to the State of Qatar for its role in mediating to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani made a field visit to food and beverage sector factories in the Small and Medium Industries Zone. Concurrently, the State of Qatar participated in the Gulf Cooperation Council's health meetings in Kuwait, led by HE Minister of Public Health Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud.
The Ministry of Transport has temporarily suspended all maritime navigation activities due to a technical malfunction in the Global Positioning System (GPS), which could affect navigation accuracy and safety. The World Space Week 2025 began at the Cultural Village - Katara, attracting experts, professionals, and students. Qatar Charity launched an emergency relief initiative for families affected by floods in Sudan, supported by Qatari donors.
Lastly, the School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, in partnership with the Sudanese Agricultural Engineers Association in Qatar, organized a forum on food security. In anticipation of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, the Lusail International Circuit introduced the Qatar GP Educational Tour.
