Doha:HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari held separate meetings with finance leaders from Armenia, India, and Azerbaijan during the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's (AIIB) 2026 annual meeting hosted in Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meetings involved discussions between HE Al Kuwari and his counterparts HE Minister of Finance of Armenia Vahe Hovhannisyan, HE Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs of India Nirmala Sitharaman, and HE Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov.
The primary focus of these discussions was on strengthening bilateral relations in financial, economic, investment, and trade sectors. Additionally, the officials addressed key developments and issues of mutual interest.
The AIIB annual meeting serves as a platform for member countries' representatives to deliberate on infrastructure investment and economic development.
