Doha: President of the Qatar Football Association Jassim Rashid Al Buenain announced today his resignation. In a statement posted on his personal account on X, Al Buenain said he was stepping down after serving for three years as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Football Association.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Buenain reflected on the past three years as a period filled with challenges, where determination and dedication transformed ambitions into reality. He emphasized that the public interest had always been, and would continue to be, the highest priority, with sincere intentions overcoming all obstacles.
Al Buenain concluded his statement by expressing hope for Qatari football to continue its journey toward greater success, progress, and prosperity.
