Doha: Qatar Foundation (QF), in collaboration with HundrED, celebrated ten groundbreaking educational projects through “Spotlight Qatar”, an initiative aimed at showcasing the most effective and scalable educational innovations in Qatar. This initiative focuses on leveraging innovation to address educational challenges, particularly in preserving the Arabic language and cultural heritage, enhancing STEM education and sustainability, and improving student engagement in the learning process.
According to Qatar News Agency, the selected projects represent a wide array of contributions from individuals, schools, and both public and private organizations, addressing crucial educational and skill development needs tailored to children and youth. The aim is to foster an environment that nurtures creativity and innovation within the educational sector.
Among the honored projects are “Cyber Security Curricula Education” by the National Cybersecurity Agency and “Comic Al-Aloom” by Noor Al Muraikhi. These initiatives highlight the importance of modernizing educational content and methodologies to better prepare students for future challenges.
Other notable projects include “Jothoor Al-Arabiya” by Naif Al Ibrahim, which focuses on cultural preservation, and “Torba Market Junior Stall Holder” by Fatima Al Khater, which encourages entrepreneurship among young learners. Moza Bint Mohammed Preparatory School for Girls’ “Moza Ambassadors” project also received recognition for its efforts in fostering leadership skills.
The initiative also showcased “A-Z Ramadan” by DADU-The Children’s Museum of Qatar, and “Race of Geniuses” by Khalid Bin Ahmed Preparatory Independent School for Boys. These projects, along with “Wadeh Education Channel” by Mohammed Al Janahi and “Qesasjeh” by Dha Khassawneh, underline the diverse approaches being taken to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
Additionally, a standout project from Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys involved the use of VR and AR technology to enhance STEM learning, underscoring the pivotal role of technology and innovation in shaping the future of education.
