According to Qatar News Agency, the visit is historic, highlighting Qatar's readiness to provide all necessary support to help Lebanon achieve stability. The commitment involves strengthening support in vital sectors such as electricity and energy, along with progress in education and scientific research.
Al-Watan newspaper emphasized that the State of Qatar and Lebanon share a relationship characterized by transparency and mutual respect. Throughout Lebanon's political, economic, and humanitarian crises, Qatar has been a steadfast ally. The newspaper noted Wednesday's talks between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and President Joseph Aoun, which focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The Peninsula newspaper highlighted that President Aoun's visit, one of his first foreign visits since assuming office, further demonstrates the strong ties and mutual desire to bolster cooperation for the benefit of both peoples and the region. Discussions between the leaders included regional and global developments, with HH the Amir announcing the renewal of a $60 million Qatari grant to support the Lebanese Army, in addition to providing 162 military vehicles.
