Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released its latest deposit rates for various currencies, effective from Wednesday. The rates cover a range of currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD, providing customers with updated options for short-term and long-term deposits.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 4.32744 for a 1-month term, slightly decreasing to 4.07734 for a 12-month term. For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the rates begin at 0.35000 for a 1-month deposit and rise to 0.55000 for a 12-month deposit. In contrast, the Swiss Franc (CHF) rates start at a negative -0.02000 for a 1-month term, reaching -0.04000 for a 12-month term.
For the British Pound (GBP), the rates are 4.32000 for a 1-month deposit, peaking at 4.40000 for a 3-month term, before slightly falling to 4.38000 for a 12-month term. The Qatari Riyal (QAR) sees rates starting at 4.85000 for a 1-month term, reducing to 4.50000 for a 12-month term.
The Saudi Riyal (SAR) rates begin at 4.90000 for a 1-month term and decrease to 4.80000 for a 12-month deposit, while the UAE Dirham (AED) rates start at 2.05000 for a 1-month term, climbing to 3.15000 for a 12-month period. Finally, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) remains consistent at 5.00000 for deposits up to 6 months, before dropping to 4.50000 for a 12-month term.
