Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Tuesday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) have been released.
According to Qatar News Agency, the rates for various currencies have been outlined for different time periods, ranging from one month to a year.
For USD deposits, the one-month rate is set at 3.93336, decreasing progressively to 3.52606 for a 12-month period. The Japanese Yen (JPY) deposit rates start at a consistent 0.40000 for one and two months, rising to 0.65000 for a 12-month deposit. Swiss Franc (CHF) deposits begin at -0.21000 for a one-month term and slightly increase to -0.03000 over 12 months. The British Pound (GBP) deposit rate is 3.92000 for one month, peaking at 3.98000 for two months, and settling at 3.96000 for a 12-month duration.
Qatari Riyal (QAR) deposits offer a rate of 4.35000 for a one-month term, which decreases to 3.75000 for a year. For Saudi Riyal (SAR) deposits, the rate is 4.75000 for one month, remaining stable at 4.55000 for longer terms, except for a slight decrease to 4.25000 for a 12-month deposit. The UAE Dirham (AED) rates start at 2.05000 for one month and increase to 3.15000 for a 12-month term. The Bahraini Dinar (BHD) deposit rate is consistently 4.75000 for one to six months, before decreasing to 4.25000 for a year.
