Berlin: The State of Qatar took part in the International Follow-up Committee on Libya meeting held in Berlin. The event saw participation from various international stakeholders committed to Libya’s peace and stability.
According to Qatar News Agency, the State of Qatar was represented by HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab. In his address, His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to collaborating with regional and international partners to achieve sustainable peace in Libya. He emphasized supporting Libyan national institutions to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people, achieve national reconciliation, and build a stable Libyan state.
His Excellency highlighted Qatar’s full support for Libya’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. He stressed the importance of creating suitable conditions for fair and transparent parliamentary and presidential elections, grounded in a consensual constitutional framework.
His Excellency also expressed Qatar’s appreciation for the United Nations-led peace process, acknowledging the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General.
