Qatar Photography Center Hosts “Beyond Fog” Exhibition Featuring Qatari Photographers

Doha: The Qatar Photography Center of the Ministry of Culture inaugurated the exhibition entitled Beyond the Fog at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). The event features the creative work of distinguished Qatari photographers Nasser Al Emadi and Abdulhadi Al Marri, offering a visual journey through the phenomenon of fog as never seen before.

According to Qatar News Agency, the photographers’ lenses capture moments of mystery and beauty, portraying Doha’s skyline as it fades into the mist, evoking dreamlike scenes. The month-long exhibition showcases rare scenes, including fog-laced gardens, tree-lined paths, and coastal waves touched by this fleeting winter visitor, transforming the natural spectacle into an immersive photographic experience.

Director of the Department of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture, Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Dulaimi, described the event as a model of visual creativity. He praised the exhibited works for their philosophical essence and artistic vision that capture the beauty of Doha, noting that the exhibition adds a new creative dimension to Qatar’s artistic landscape.

He affirmed that such cultural showcases offer a gateway to engage with promising talent, reiterating the Ministry’s openness to young artists’ aspirations, along with support for Qatari talented individuals.

Director of the Qatar Photography Center, Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain, emphasized that the event forms part of a broader initiative to elevate domestic artistic expression and reinterpret natural phenomena such as fog as visual narratives. He highlighted that photographers Nasser Al Emadi and Abdulhadi Al Marri described the project as an endeavor capturing elusive scenes over a decade, turning an everyday obstacle into a lens of poetic wonder.
