Qatar Signs Air Services Agreement with Guatemala and Rwanda Respectively

Riyadh, – The State of Qatar and the Republic of Guatemala celebrated the final signing of the open skies air services agreement, on the sidelines of the 15th ICAO Air Services Negotiation (ICAN2023) Event, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed on the Qatari side by Acting President of the Qatar’s General Civil Aviation Authority Mohamed Faleh Al Hajri, and on the Guatemalan side by HE Director-General of Civil Aeronautics of Guatemala Francis Arturo Argueta Aguirre.

This agreement allows the designated carriers of both countries to operate passenger and cargo flights in an unlimited number.

Both sides discussed many matters of mutual interest relating to air transport and developing bilateral relations.

In a related context, the civil aviation authorities of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Rwanda held bilateral discussions during the conference meetings, which resulted with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, allowing the relevant airlines of both countries to enter into joint trade cooperation agreements.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the Qatari side by Mohamed Faleh Alhajri, in charge of managing the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, and on the Rwandan side by HE Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eugene Segore Kayihura, who also discussed various matters of mutual interest regarding air transport and developing bilateral relations.
