The third meeting of the Implementation Monitoring Mechanism of the Qatar-Singapore High-Level Joint Committee, held in Doha, underscored the breadth of this relationship. Discussions encompassing trade, investment, security, information and communications technology, sustainability, legal cooperation, and social development showed that bilateral ties had developed well beyond conventional diplomatic exchanges.

As Qatar prepares for high-level participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly amid highly sensitive international circumstances, the meetings of this session represent a particularly important opportunity for the State to review regional and international developments and ways to de-escalate tensions in the region. The session provides an opportunity to hold a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings with various countries and representatives of international and regional organizations to strengthen relations across different fields. The State of Qatar's continued humanitarian support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is evident through the recent signing of an agreement with the United Nations to deliver approximately 1.3 million liters of fuel to the Gaza Strip as a grant from the State of Qatar. This initiative represents a continuation of Qatar's support in this area, with the State having provided approximately 30 million liters of fuel between Oct. 7, 2023, and the end of March 2026. Qatar's urgent response to humanitarian needs and essential services in the Gaza Strip embodies the State's steadfast position of providing all forms of support to the Palestinian people and making every effort to meet the basic needs arising from the difficult humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
The grant is particularly important given the Gaza Strip's urgent need for fuel to ensure the continuity of essential services and support humanitarian and relief sectors. The provision of fuel is an integral part of efforts to safeguard the basic necessities of life for the population in the Strip. Qatar's continued humanitarian presence reflects a firmly established approach to supporting the Palestinian people and reaffirms that the State of Qatar places humanitarian considerations at the forefront of its efforts toward the Gaza Strip and Palestine as a whole, by supporting basic needs and strengthening the humanitarian response in cooperation with the United Nations and relevant international organizations.
