Qatar Stock Exchange Closes Lower as Market Declines

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange experienced a downturn on Wednesday, with the index falling by 96.38 points, or 0.86 percent, to close the session at 11,078.50 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 217,051,942 shares changed hands during the session, generating a turnover of QR 572,049,802.838. The trading activity encompassed 24,303 transactions across all market sectors. While shares of 10 companies saw an increase, 38 companies witnessed a decline, and four companies' shares remained unchanged from their previous closing prices.

The market capitalization at the end of the trading session was QR 664,323,438,032.416, marking a decrease from the QR 669,045,734,246.060 recorded the previous day.
