Qatar Stock Exchange Index Dips Amid Sector Losses

Doha:The Qatar Stock Exchange Index began Wednesday's trading session with a decline of 27.21 points, or 0.29%, settling at 9,279 points. This drop was influenced by downturns in six sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the insurance sector showed a positive performance, increasing by 0.89%. In contrast, the sectors of Consumer Goods and Services, Telecoms, Industrials, Banks and Financial Services, Real Estate, and Transport all experienced negative performances, with declines of 0.02%, 0.23%, 0.25%, 0.32%, 0.40%, and 0.84%, respectively.

By 10:00 am, trading activity on the Qatar Stock Exchange amounted to QR 46.380 million, with 23.259 million shares being traded through 2,944 transactions.
