Qatar: Qatar University announced details of the 13th edition of its Cultural Village event, scheduled to take place from March 30 to 31 on campus. The event reflects the university's commitment to promoting dialogue and fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates cultural diversity.
According to Qatar News Agency, during a press conference, the university explained that the Cultural Village is an annual platform bringing together students of various nationalities to showcase their countries' heritage and cultural identities through exhibition booths, artistic performances, traditional attire, popular cuisine, and traditional arts and crafts, highlighting the richness and diversity of the university community.
On this occasion, Director of Student Activities Abdullah Al Mulla said the event is not merely a celebration but a vibrant platform for intercultural understanding and dialogue, offering students the opportunity to proudly represent their heritage and identity. He emphasized the importance of interactive experiences that promote mutual respect.
Head of Campus events and programs at QU, Mira Al Kuwari noted that the annual event has become a key highlight on the student activities calendar, showcasing the traditions and customs of different nations. She added that this year's theme reflects the idea that culture is not just a historical legacy, but a lived identity.
The event aligns with the university's strategy to empower students and enhance their participation in extracurricular activities, helping develop leadership and social skills while promoting cultural awareness, coexistence, and social responsibility.
