Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has introduced an award recognizing the best digital Hajj application created by Qatari Hajj campaigns for the 1447 AH pilgrimage season. The award aims to foster digital transformation in Hajj services, encouraging the use of innovative technologies to enhance the pilgrim experience.
According to Qatar News Agency, the initiative calls for applications that offer comprehensive services such as registration, travel updates, camp locations at holy sites, religious guidance, and direct communication with campaign officials. The ministry is particularly interested in applications leveraging artificial intelligence to address pilgrims' inquiries.
Applications will be assessed based on their user-friendliness, service quality, speed, security, and the effective integration of smart technologies to assist pilgrims during Hajj. This award is a part of the ministry's broader 2025-2030 strategy to expand smart services and improve the quality of support provided to pilgrims from Qatar.
