Doha: The Qatari Businesswomen Association (QBWA) recently engaged in discussions with the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), part of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, to explore potential areas for cooperation and knowledge exchange in family, childhood, and women’s empowerment.
According to Qatar News Agency, QBWA’s Vice President Aisha Hussein Al Fardan emphasized that the meeting, attended by DIFI’s Executive Director Dr. Sharifa Nauman Al Emadi, aligns with the Association’s efforts to forge strong collaborations with research and social institutions in Qatar, supporting the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. Al Fardan expressed QBWA’s commitment to leveraging its network of businesswomen and professionals to support DIFI’s initiatives, which aim to enhance family stability and empower women in national development.
Dr. Sharifa Al Emadi outlined DIFI’s work and future projects, highlighting its role in shaping social policies through research. She noted that the collaboration between QBWA and DIFI exemplifies the synergy between research and practical applications, reinforcing DIFI’s national role in supporting decision-makers with evidence-based policies that promote the well-being of Qatari families.
The meeting included discussions on enhancing cooperation, such as QBWA’s involvement in DIFI’s research, participation in an upcoming family wellbeing conference, joint workshops, and support for social projects aimed at economically empowering women. Both parties also agreed to initiate awareness campaigns to strengthen partnerships with public and private sectors, promoting the concept of cohesive families as key to national development.
The meeting concluded with a focus on maintaining communication and developing a joint implementation plan for future research and development initiatives to support Qatari families and enhance women’s roles in national development.
