Qatar’s Prime Minister Engages in Diplomatic Outreach and Celebrates National Events

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has been actively engaging in diplomatic outreach, sending a cable of congratulations to HE Prime Minister of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, Mark Phillips, in celebration of Guyana's Independence Day. Additionally, he extended condolences to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on the passing of HRH Prince Nawaf bin Naif bin Mamdouh bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

According to Qatar News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed also exchanged Eid Al Adha greetings with prime ministers across sisterly Arab and Islamic nations, showcasing Qatar's commitment to fostering regional ties. In a series of phone calls, the Prime Minister discussed various issues with high-ranking officials, including Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, UAE's Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Jordan's Dr. Ayman Safadi.

In another notable development, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, met with Antoine Marie Kajangwe, Permanent Secretary of Rwanda's Ministry of Trade and Industry, to discuss trade relations. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport has enhanced maritime services by launching 14 new automated e-services, making transactions for big vessels and seafarers' affairs more accessible.

Furthermore, Qatar's Hajj mission received commendation from pilgrims for their exemplary services during this year's pilgrimage, highlighting the mission's effective operational plan from Qatar to the holy sites.
