Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the men's final of the 34th Qatar ExxonMobil Open for tennis, held at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex this evening. In addition to this sporting event, HH the Amir sent a cable of congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia on his country's Founding Day.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani also congratulated King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on the same occasion. Furthermore, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, and sent his own congratulations to the Saudi King.
Under the patronage of HE Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Police Academy celebrated the graduation of students from its Diploma in Police Sciences and Diploma in International Fire Safety Management programs.
In cultural development, Qatar National Library launched the Murshidi Schools Edition to offer professional guidance directly to students. Meanwhile, the Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center conducted tests for new reverts as part of the 12th Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Qur'an Competition.
Qatar's commitment to education and sustainable development was further highlighted by Qatar Foundation's Earthna Center and HBKU's College of Islamic Studies launching their publication, Semiotics of Nature: Recharging Nature with Meaning for Environmental Ethics and Action.

In sports, HE President of the Asian Olympic Council, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, crowned Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz as the champion of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open. Meanwhile, Qatar Football Association announced that Qatari referee Mishari Al Shammari will officiate at the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia.
