QC Launches Ambitious Education Campaign to Aid Students Worldwide

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) has launched the Education Campaign 2026, under the motto 'Science as Stewardship', aligning with the upcoming academic year and back-to-school initiatives.

According to Qatar News Agency, the campaign emphasizes QC's dedication to ensuring the right to education for children and young people, recognizing education as a pivotal development tool for building individuals and fostering a more stable future for societies. The initiative aims to engage benefactors to support approximately 123,000 students both domestically and internationally, offering them the chance to shape their futures and contribute to their communities' development.

Internationally, the campaign includes initiatives such as providing school backpacks, uniforms, and educational supplies, supporting school feeding programs, sponsoring students in need, and enhancing learning environments by constructing and refurbishing schools equipped with necessary educational facilities.

Abdulaziz Jassim Hejji, Executive Director of Communications and Community Impact at QC, called upon benefactors, individuals, and corporations to generously contribute to the campaign, highlighting its potential to make a significant humanitarian impact and improve the lives of targeted communities.

Hejji emphasized that donations towards educational endeavors extend beyond mere support for a class or school supplies; they represent investments in empowering individuals to become self-reliant and serve their communities and nations.

He stressed that education is a profound avenue for charitable deeds with enduring benefits that extend to students, their families, and communities, ensuring that the rewards of giving have a long-lasting impact.

Hejji reaffirmed that education remains a central pillar of QC's humanitarian and development initiatives, as it fulfills a fundamental right of children, strengthens communities, mitigates poverty and crisis impacts, and paves the way for a brighter future for students and their communities.

The campaign aims to enhance awareness of education as a universal right and support educational efforts in regions affected by humanitarian crises, disasters, and conflicts, facilitating secure educational opportunities for children to resume their education and prevent dropouts.

Implementation will span countries facing developmental and humanitarian challenges, including Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Lebanon, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Mali, Burkina Faso, Albania, and Nepal, ensuring assistance reaches the students in greatest need.

Within Qatar, the campaign seeks to support children from low-income families and orphans by covering school and university tuition fees, sponsoring students in need, and providing essential educational resources like school backpacks, uniforms, sportswear, tablets, and laptops.
