Doha: Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced a new system for registering players for the 2025-2026 season. QFA said that teams can register 10 foreign professionals as part of a list that includes 28 first team players. But a maximum of six players can be allowed to participate in any given match. According to Qatar News Agency, the decision aims to provide clubs with flexibility in managing their player rosters while maintaining a competitive balance in matches. The regulation is designed to encourage strategic planning by clubs in terms of player selection and participation across the season.
