QMC and QPC Sign MoU to Strengthen Media Collaboration


Doha: Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at its premises to collaborate with the Qatar Press Center (QPC). This initiative aims to enhance institutional collaboration within the media sector by organizing seminars and training courses for media practitioners.



According to Qatar News Agency, Director of QMC’s International Cooperation and Agreements Office, Abdullah Ghanem Al Muhannadi, stated that this partnership represents a significant step in the Qatari media industry. It extends the collaborative efforts between QMC and QPC, working towards a unified vision to enhance Qatar’s media landscape. The collaboration is described as an intellectual and strategic alliance, leveraging QMC’s media expertise and QPC’s support for journalists to improve the media work environment, aligning with the Qatar National Vision 2030.



Al Muhannadi emphasized that today’s media plays an active role in shaping awareness and building communities. This collaboration reflects QMC’s belief in the power of the word and highlights the importance of unified efforts to promote a responsible and impactful national media. He reiterated the commitment to demonstrating institutional synergy that benefits the nation and elevates its status in regional and international media forums.



Speaking to Qatar News Agency, Sadiq Al Amari, Director General of QPC, confirmed that QPC has consistently collaborated with QMC, benefiting from the Corporation’s support. The partnership includes organizing joint seminars and training courses for media professionals, as well as collaborating with television and radio channels to produce films and documentaries that document the history and evolution of journalism in Qatar.
