Moscow: HE Director-General of Qatar News Agency (QNA) Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi participated in the 58th meeting of the Executive Board of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), held in Moscow. The event saw the participation of heads and representatives from 14 member news agencies of the organization's Executive Board.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting involved a review of OANA's financial and technical reports, along with discussions on various operational development issues. Key announcements included plans to expand membership in the Technical and Ethics Committees and to complete technical updates to the organization's website.
A general session marking the 65th anniversary of OANA's founding is scheduled for Monday, during which several memoranda of understanding will be signed. The program will feature panel discussions on media-related topics such as combating misinformation and fake news, the intersection of media and artificial intelligence, and strategies for maintaining professional content standards.
