Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index saw an increase on Sunday, climbing by 61.74 points, or 0.58 percent, to close at 10,716.39 points. This development comes as part of a session that involved a significant trading volume and value.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session recorded a total of 78,051,577 shares being exchanged, amounting to a value of QR 207,635,426.825. The transactions were carried out through 13,002 trades spanning all sectors of the market.
The session resulted in 27 companies witnessing a rise in their share prices, while 19 companies experienced a decline. Meanwhile, 8 companies retained their previous closing prices, showing no change.
At the conclusion of the trading activities, the market capitalization increased to QR 640,982,819,015.780, up from QR 637,592,717,494.960 in the previous session, reflecting a positive shift in the market’s overall valuation.
