Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) experienced a decline of 37.67 points, equating to a 0.35% drop, as trading commenced on Monday. The index fell to 10,603 points from its previous close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index noted gains in several sectors. The Insurance sector rose by 0.58%, Industrials increased by 0.12%, Real Estate by 0.04%, and Consumer Goods and Services also saw a 0.04% uptick. The Transportation sector remained unchanged, while the Telecoms sector saw a decline of 0.17%.
By 10:00 am, trading activity included a total of 35.758 million shares exchanged across 2,304 transactions, amounting to a total value of QR 62.416 million.
