Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped by 44.93 points, or 0.43%, at the start of trading on Thursday, falling to 10,414 points from the previous close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the decline was led by drops in five sectors: Industrials by 1.68%, Real Estate by 0.16%, Banks and Financial Services by 0.07%, Insurance by 0.04%, and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.01%. However, Transportation rose by 0.05%, and Telecoms gained 0.02%.
By 10:00 am, a total of 52.578 million shares had been traded in 3,144 transactions, valued at QR 83.671 million.
