QSE Index Edges Higher at Market Open


Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index opened Tuesday’s trading with a slight increase of 0.02%, adding 1.96 points to reach the level of 10,148 points, compared to the previous session’s close.



According to Qatar News Agency, the index was supported by gains in three sectors, led by Telecoms, which rose by 1.02%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector followed with an increase of 0.55%, while the Industrials sector experienced a 0.15% gain. However, declines were recorded in the Insurance sector, which fell by 0.70%, Transportation decreased by 0.56%, Real Estate was down by 0.37%, and Banks and Financial Services saw a slight drop of 0.03%.



As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 14.873 million shares, with a total value of QR 31.524 million across 1,730 transactions.
