Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index began Sunday trading with an increase of 40.54 points, or 0.39%, reaching a total of 10,528 points, bolstered by gains in six sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, data from QSE indicated that the Transportation sector led the gains with an increase of 0.81%. This was followed by the Real Estate sector, which rose by 0.75%, Banks and Financial Services with a 0.66% increase, Consumer Goods and Services up by 0.65%, Industrials with a slight rise of 0.06%, and Insurance with a marginal gain of 0.01%. In contrast, the Telecoms sector experienced a decline of 0.70%.
At 10:00 am, the trading turnover was measured at QAR 169.155 million, with a total of 34.526 million shares being traded across 3,095 transactions.
