QSE Index Opens Higher as Three Sectors Support Gains

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw a rise of 6.53 points, or 0.06%, at the beginning of Thursday's trading session. The index climbed to 10,327 points compared to the previous session's closing, with support from three specific sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Transportation sector showed an increase of 0.60%, followed by Industrials with a slight rise of 0.02%, and Banks and Financial Services with a marginal gain of 0.01%. Conversely, the market experienced declines in several other sectors, with Consumer Goods and Services down by 0.01%, Insurance falling by 0.07%, Telecoms decreasing by 0.24%, and Real Estate dropping by 0.28%.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 67.794 million. During this period, a total of 33.217 million shares were traded across 4,329 transactions.
