Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index increased by 56.54 points, or 0.53%, at the start of trading on Sunday, rising to 10,711 points from the previous session’s close, supported by most sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, leading the increase was the Telecoms sector, which rose by 1.23%. The Industrials sector also showed an increase of 0.74%, followed by Real Estate at 0.63%, Banks and Financial Services at 0.56%, Insurance at 0.21%, and Consumer Goods and Services at 0.17%. In contrast, the Transportation sector experienced a decline of 0.28%.
By 10:00 am, trading turnover reached QR 48.65 million, with 19.953 million shares traded across 2,228 transactions.
