Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a minor decline of 4.51 points, or 0.04%, at the start of trading on Wednesday, settling at 10,813 points from the previous session's close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the index was bolstered by positive performances in several sectors. The Telecoms sector rose by 0.19%, Transportation increased by 0.18%, Consumer Goods and Services climbed by 0.14%, Real Estate went up by 0.07%, Industrials improved by 0.06%, and Insurance grew by 0.05%. However, these gains were offset by a decline in the Banks and Financial Services sector, which fell by 0.12%.
By 10:00 am, the QSE witnessed a trading volume of 15.531 million shares, resulting in a total turnover of QR 52.958 million across 2,937 transactions.
