QSE Index Opens Lower with Mixed Sector Performances


Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw a slight decline of 1.14 points, or 0.01%, at the start of Tuesday’s trading session, dropping to 10,894 points compared to the previous session’s close. The decrease was primarily influenced by losses across four sectors.



According to Qatar News Agency, the market data revealed that the Insurance sector experienced a gain of 0.40%, followed by the Industrials sector with an increase of 0.13%, and the Transportation sector, which rose by 0.07%. On the other hand, the Banks and Financial Services sector fell by 0.02%, Real Estate by 0.03%, Consumer Goods and Services by 0.06%, and Telecoms by 0.17%.



By 10:00 am, QSE had reported a turnover of QR 57.611 million, with 20.314 million shares exchanged across 2,925 transactions.
