Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose slightly at the beginning of Monday's trading, increasing by 0.05%, adding 5.08 points to reach the level of 10,498 points, compared to the closing of yesterday's session. According to figures released by Qatar Stock Exchange, the slight rise in the general index was attributed to positive performance in several sectors. The Real Estate sector increased by 0.61%, the Insurance by 0.42%, the Banking and Financial Services by 0.12%, and the Transportation by 0.09%. On the other hand, the Industrial sector decreased by 0.06%, the Telecoms by 0.09% and the Consumer Goods and Services by 0.12%. At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 2,301 transactions worth QR 71.808 million, distributed over 43.274 million shares. Source: Qatar News Agency
