QSE Index Rises 0.63% at Market Open


Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw an increase of 64.03 points, or 0.63%, at the start of trading on Wednesday, reaching 10,203 points compared to the previous close.



According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index was buoyed by gains across most sectors. Telecoms led the increase with a rise of 2.14%, followed by Transportation at 0.67%, Real Estate at 0.55%, Banks and Financial Services at 0.50%, Industrials at 0.37%, and Consumer Goods and Services at 0.24%. The Insurance sector was the only one to decline, slipping by 0.19%.



As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 59.384 million shares, with a total value of QR 104.253 million across 3,956 transactions.
