Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened on a positive note on Tuesday, with the general index climbing 76.69 points, or 0.73%, to reach 10,635 points compared to the previous session's close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the increase was driven by gains across six key sectors. Leading the upward trend were Banks and Financial Services, up by 1.07%, followed by Consumer Goods and Services (+0.78%), Real Estate (+0.60%), Telecommunications (+0.44%), Industrials (+0.32%), and Transportation (+0.01%). The Insurance sector was the only decliner, edging down by 0.07%.
As of 10:00 am, the exchange recorded a total trading value of QR 1.128 billion, with 48.897 million shares valued at QR 1.038 billion traded across 4,712 transactions.
