QSE Index Rises Marginally at Beginning of Thursday’s Trading

Doha: The QSE index experienced a slight uptick of 0.07% at the start of Thursday's trading session, increasing by 7.74 points to reach 10,963 points, compared to its closing position in the previous session. This modest rise was supported by gains in three key sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Industrial sector showed a rise of 0.36%, while the Real Estate sector saw a minor increase of 0.04%. The Banks and Financial Services sector also contributed to the overall index increase with a slight gain of 0.01%.

Conversely, the index was weighed down by declines in several sectors. The Consumer Goods and Services sector decreased by 0.12%, the Transport sector fell by 0.23%, the Insurance sector dropped by 0.42%, and the Telecommunications sector saw a more significant decline of 0.74%.

At 10:00 am, QSE reported 2,565 transactions amounting to QAR 50.025 million, involving 21.752 million shares traded across the market.
