QTerminals Qatar Classic 2025 Hailed as Resounding Success

Doha: Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) and director of QTerminals Qatar Classic 2025, Tariq Darwish Zainal, expressed his gratification at the impressive success of the tournament, which received broad commendation from all participants.

According to Qatar News Agency, the organizing committee is always committed to presenting an edition that epitomizes Qatar’s trailblazing and its unparalleled excellence in terms of sports and organization, Zainal stated. He added that he feels tremendous pride and pleasure in the phenomenal milestone the tournament has achieved, which is something Qatar is known for, with the nation always presenting tournaments in the best image.

All participants, including the top-ranked men and women in the world, praised the level of performance displayed throughout the tournament, which is recognized as one of the foremost Platinum-level championships globally, Zainal underlined. He pointed out that the organizing committee is always keen to provide every factor that ensures the tournament achieves the highest standards of excellence across all aspects.

Zainal congratulated New Zealand’s Paul Coll and Egypt’s Hania El Hammamy, emphasizing that they fully deserved to be crowned men’s and women’s champions in recognition of their outstanding performance throughout the contest. He also highlighted the Qatari participation, commending the performance of Abdullah Al Tamimi, saying he came very close to reaching the semifinals for the first time in his career, but he suffered a serious injury during his quarterfinal match against England’s George Bryan, after being tied two games apiece, wishing him a speedy recovery and a swift return to the courts.

Zainal asserted that the tournament’s success will serve as an added motivation for organizing the Asia Cup for Padel, which the federation will host for the first time in Qatar at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex from Oct. 17 to 24, with participation from 17 men’s and women’s national teams. The tournament concluded earlier Saturday at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, organized by the Qatar Squash Federation, with Coll, the world No.2, snagging the men’s title, and El Hammamy, also ranked No.2 globally, taking the women’s crown.

The organizing committee was keen to provide every factor that contributed to making this year’s edition stand out and conclude in the most spectacular manner.
