Kuwait City: The Qatar Scientific Club, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has announced its participation in the 15th Middle East International Inventions Exhibition, held in Kuwait from February 16 to 19.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Sheikh Ali bin Salman Al-Thani, head of the Qatari delegation and managing director of the Qatar Scientific Club, emphasized Qatar’s regular participation and record of achievements in the exhibition. He highlighted the exhibition as a crucial platform for Qatari inventors to display their innovations, marking it as one of the most significant international invention exhibitions. Sheikh Ali expressed Qatar’s dedication to presenting top-notch innovations and optimism about securing top awards.
The Qatar Scientific Club is presenting three distinct innovations: a hybrid air conditioning system by Dr. Youssef Al Horr, which efficiently cools hot and humid outdoor air and ventilates spaces, boasting patents and international accolades; a device by inventors Saleh Al Saadi and Abdulrazzaq Al Fares to enhance sample distribution accuracy with a barcode reader for error alerts; and an AI-powered security system by inventors Fatima, Amna, Dana Issa Al Kuwari, and Al Zeina Ahmed Al Muhannadi, designed to protect military equipment with a smart touch system.
Additionally, the Qatari delegation features Rashid Ibrahim from the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, showcasing the “safe evaporator” invention. This device includes two containers in the evaporator head to prevent coal spillage, with an automatic blower replacing manual blowing.
This year’s exhibition also marks the inaugural participation of the Arab League, offering five cash prizes through its various organizations. The exhibition is offering a total of $60,000 in cash prizes to inventors, securing its position as the leading invention exhibition in the Middle East.
