Russia Claims Successful Interception of Ukrainian Drones Aimed at Moscow

Moscow: Russia announced Monday that its air defense units destroyed four Ukrainian drones flying toward Moscow. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said via Telegram that, according to initial reports, there were no casualties or damage from the falling aircraft debris.

According to Qatar News Agency, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) also announced a temporary suspension of flights at Domodedovo Airport, one of the main airports serving Moscow, to ensure air safety. Since the start of the war in February 2022, Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily reports claiming to have repelled attacks by the other side. Due to the ongoing conflict, these claims have not been independently verified.
