Russia: Russia on Thursday expressed readiness to play an active role in preserving the Middle East peace process and reducing escalation and tensions. Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, voiced, in remarks, his country's readiness to engage actively in the peace process, highlighting Moscow's ongoing communication with the Gulf states and Iran.
According to Qatar News Agency, Shoigu emphasized the serious repercussions the world is currently facing, which are expected to have a broad impact not just on the Middle East, but globally. These repercussions are anticipated to affect several sectors, including energy, food, liquefied natural gas, oil, logistics, and other economic areas.
Tensions in the Middle East have been steadily escalating following the military strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran last Saturday.
