Russian Defenses Down 22 Ukrainian Drones

Doha: The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems destroyed 22 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the night.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Ukrainian attempts to carry out drone attacks against targets on Russian territory were stopped last night. The defense systems successfully neutralized the threat, demonstrating the ongoing tension and military engagements in the region.

Air defense systems on duty destroyed 16 drones over the territory of Oryol Region, three over the territory of Bryansk Region, two over the territory of Ryazan Region, and one over the territory of the Republic of Crimea. These incidents reflect the persistent conflict dynamics as both nations continue to engage in military operations.

Russia and Ukraine announce near-daily reports of downed drones, but verifying these claims is difficult due to the ongoing war since February 2022. This ongoing conflict has made independent verification of military claims challenging, as both sides engage in information warfare alongside physical confrontations.
